Duties:
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients with a focus on mental health and well-being.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address a variety of mental health concerns.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in the field of therapy.

Skills:
- Proficiency in providing PTSD care and trauma-informed therapy.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and its impact on mental health treatment.
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions.
- Ability to provide mental health counseling to individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficient in motivational interviewing techniques to promote client engagement and motivation for change.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
- Knowledge of gender issues counseling and sensitivity to the unique needs of different genders.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses.

This position requires a qualified therapist who is dedicated to providing high-quality care to clients. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy, and the ability to establish rapport with clients. They should also be able to work effectively as part of a team, collaborate with other professionals, and stay up-to-date with the latest research in the field.

Requirements

Position Requirements:


* Master's Degree

* Independently licensed in the state of Florida.

* One year of experience as a Licensed Therapist.

* Must be willing to work with both pediatric and adult clients.


The Licensed Therapist needs to make sound decisions independently and demonstrate good judgment on a daily basis. This includes but is not limited to recognizing life threatening situations, safety risks, abuse, neglect, or other emergencies and responding appropriately.


Strong communication skills are essential and this individual must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external customers, including patients, families, caregivers, community service providers, supervisory staff and other department professionals.


Each employee contributes to the completeness and confidentiality of clinical records by ensuring documentation, paperwork and system entries meet internal and external guidelines for content, accuracy and timeliness. Must demonstrate proficiency in Discovery's EHR system demonstrated within three months of employment.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office and email are required.
